Medical Thermal Imaging

Medical Thermal Imaging is a non-invasive technique that gives the medical practitioner a much earlier glance into health problems than conventional medical testing methods. In other words, Medical Thermal Imaging can be used to identify possible problems in the body before the problems have had an opportunity to get out of hand. MTI can be used to detect changes in breast tissue, damage to muscles and tendons, nerve and organ dysfunctions and can even assist in the early detection of circulatory issues that can lead to stroke or heart attack. MTI can also be used to detect and measure the intensity of pain.

MTI uses an infrared thermal scanning device that can measure body temperatures down to the tenth of a degree. Normally, temperatures in the different hemispheres of the human body remain symmetrical. When a thermal scan of a patient is read, the practitioner looks for temperature differences between the different hemispheres of the body.

For example, before a breast tumor can develop, there must be blood supply directed toward the area where the tumor will exist. This new blood flow will naturally cause a slight temperature difference in the affected breast tissue compared to the normal breast tissue. In first this case, the diagnosis of a future possible problem can be made long before it becomes a real problem.

Medical Thermal Imaging has been incorporated in American, Asian and European medicine for the last 20 years. Until recently, clumsy and inefficient equipment has slowed down the economic and diagnostic practicality of MTI. State of the art computer and infrared technology for the medical world has changed all of this. Now, diagnosis and detection can be done earlier, faster and cheaper than ever before using non-invasive Thermal Imaging technology.

A trained professional conducts scans at Longwood Healing Center and Spa Monday through Thursday 9am-9pm in a private setting. The thermal imaging test results are sent to a Medical Doctor for professional review and a full color report is presented to the physician and the patient for evaluation and treatment consultation.
