At Longwood Healing Center and Spa, we strive to educate the Central Florida public about alternative and complimentary therapies that enhance quality of life. For the past 9 years, we have focused our commitment to public education on the corporate sector. Tammy Bennett, A.P. DOM leads this effort by providing onsite educational seminars to local businesses and large corporations throughout Central Florida via a program called the Lunch and Learn Series.

Employers can include lunch for the employees during the seminars or ask employees to "brown bag" their lunch.

Nutrition and Stress Management: attendees will learn how the body responds to stress, what proper nutrition can do for the body to ease stress, specific foods to eat and not to eat, other self help techniques to deal with stress.

Weight loss and Weight Management: attendees will learn why the human body gains weight, how to effectively manage cravings using low level laser therapy, what happens when hormones prevent weight loss and how to correct this using herbal and nutrition therapy, a demonstration of craving control is also done during this seminar.

How to treat menopause naturally: attendees will learn what menopause is, how it can be treated without the use of drug therapy and they will gain a base of knowledge to understand menopause from a holistic medicine perspective.

Quit smoking using low level laser therapy: attendees will learn how a person can become addicted to nicotine, how non-drug therapies can assist with quitting smoking, the history of low level laser therapy in the U.S. and view a demonstration of the technique.
